IT exports have been recorded at $2.8 billion in first nine months


Islamabad: With the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), the country’s IT exports reached an all-time high.
Last month, in March, the country’s IT exports reached a record level of $342 million. As a result of the efforts of the SIFC, the exports of the IT sector recorded an increase for the 18th consecutive month.
In the first 9 months of the fiscal year 2025, IT exports have been recorded at $2.8 billion, while the global presence of Pakistani IT companies has increased.
Under the ‘Udan Pakistan’ strategy, the target of IT exports has been set at $10 billion, and the stability of the rupee and effective government policies are proving to be a harbinger of an increase in exports.
It is pertinent to note that two months ago, Pakistan’s IT exports had reached $1.86 billion with an increase of 28 percent, and Minister of State for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja had said that IT exports are expected to increase further in the future.
