Senator Faisal proposes subsidies or direct aid for low-income citizens and calls for faster, fairer insurance claims

Islamabad: Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Interior, Senator Faisal Saleem, has recommended financial assistance for owners of vehicles damaged by the recent hailstorm.
Senator Faisal Saleem has written a letter to the Ministry of Interior and the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad, stating that sudden hailstorms have shattered the windshields of hundreds of vehicles belonging to citizens.
According to the letter, citizens have suffered significant financial losses due to the unexpected hailstorm. The government should offer partial compensation to help offset these losses. Such support would not only reduce the financial burden on the affected individuals but also send a message of goodwill and solidarity.
He proposed that a subsidy or direct financial aid be provided to economically vulnerable citizens, and that the process for insurance claims should be made faster and fairer. He further recommended that a compensation program be launched after reviewing these suggestions.
The letter stated that such a government compensation program would help build trust between the public and the government.
