WhatsApp adds media & links tab for channels to make browsing easier
WhatsApp is making it easier for users to stay organized and informed

(Web Desk): Meta-owned WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that will make it easier for users to browse media shared in channels. This update is now available to some beta testers, according to WABetaInfo.
The feature allows users to view all photos, videos, GIFs, and links shared in a channel from one dedicated section — similar to the “Media, Links, and Docs” tab already available in personal and group chats. This update aims to improve user convenience by making it easier to find important content without scrolling through long channel histories.
Previously, looking for a specific photo or video in a busy channel was often time-consuming and frustrating, especially if users couldn’t remember the exact words or context of the post. The lack of a media section in channels made it hard to retrieve older updates quickly.
Now, WhatsApp has added a media and links tab in the channel info screen. This new section allows users to scroll through all shared content in one place. Whether it’s an announcement, news update, or useful link, users can access what they need in just a few taps — without needing to remember when it was posted.
This improvement is expected to enhance the overall experience of using WhatsApp channels, especially for those that share frequent updates or multimedia content. It also offers a better way to save and revisit specific channel posts, similar to how users can star messages in chats.
With this update, WhatsApp is making it easier for users to stay organized and informed — helping them access key information more efficiently than ever before.
