‘I worked really hard at the National Cricket Academy, and now I’m seeing the results of that hard work’

(Web Desk): Hasan Ali, who is part of Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, has said that while he wants to become the best bowler of the tournament, the most important thing is to help the Kings win.
While giving an interview to a private news channel, Hasan Ali said that he’s taking wickets and is quite satisfied with his personal performance.
“I worked really hard at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), and now I’m seeing the results of that hard work — first in the National T20 and now in the PSL,” he said.
Talking about his diet, Hasan Ali shared that he worked on correcting flaws in his bowling, made some modifications, and also focused on fitness, diet, and injury recovery. “But I haven’t given up the ‘roti gang’, nor will I,” he joked. “After improving my diet, I feel much more energetic now. Better late than never. My wife has also helped me a lot in this area. “We’ve grown up eating ‘parathas’. For athletes, diet plays a very important role — international athletes usually have a much better diet.”
Hasan Ali said his journey in the PSL has been a beautiful one. “Being picked as an emerging player, winning the final — all of it has been memorable. This league has groomed a lot of talent in Pakistan. I had already played domestic cricket, but after PSL, playing international cricket became easier for me. I got the chance to play alongside some of the world’s top players in PSL.”
He further added, “My job is to perform, and my wish is to play for Pakistan again. I’m only 30 years old — there’s still a lot of cricket left in me. I want to stay in the team based on performance, and if I perform well, I will stay in the team.”
Hasan Ali emphasized that team success is more important than personal goals. “I want to be the best bowler of the tournament, but the main goal is to help Kings win. When you become the best bowler, all eyes are on you. There’s a lot to learn under Warner’s captaincy. If someone sees leadership potential in me in the future, I would gladly accept the responsibility.”
