Pilot of the plane was killed

Gujarat: Another Indian Air Force (IAF) plane crashed in the Indian state of Gujarat.
According to Indian media reports, an Indian Air Force trainer aircraft crashed in Gujarat, killing the pilot of the plane.
It is pertinent to note that earlier in March, two IAF aircraft crashed on the same day, one of which was a fighter jet.
According to the Indian Air Force, the Jaguar fighter jet took off from the Ambala air base for a training exercise and crashed near Haryana some time later.
The Air Force said that the pilot managed to safely take the plane away from the population. The cause of the accident has been stated to be a technical fault, and the pilot was shifted to the hospital for medical treatment. An investigation into the incident has also been ordered.
The second incident took place in West Bengal, where an Indian Air Force transport aircraft AN-32, crashed at Bagdogra airport.
According to reports, there were no casualties in the accident, and the crew was safe.
In November 2024, a MiG-29 fighter jet crashed near Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
According to recent defense reports, the number of fighter jets in the Indian Air Force has come down from 42 to just 30. By 2025-26, the number of squadrons in the Indian Air Force could fall to 28, far short of the 42 required to effectively defend against potential threats.
Defense experts say these accidents raise serious questions about the operational preparedness and safety standards of the IAF. India's defense system has been hollowed out due to Modi's poor policies. The rusted fighter jets of the Indian Air Force are a shameful testament to the Modi government's failure.
Experts say that the IAF is declining with each passing day due to the Modi government's failed policies and corruption. The Modi government's promises of defense improvements are nothing more than lip service. Despite these continuous accidents, the Modi government's lofty claims of reforms and modernization are just a sham.
