Passengers hold up ceiling panels with their hands at nearly 30,000 feet

(Web Desk): The aviation world in the United States was once again shaken by a shocking incident when the roof of a Delta Airlines flight from Atlanta to Chicago suddenly collapsed mid-air. Passengers had to hold up the ceiling with their hands to prevent it from falling completely.
In viral videos circulating on social media, passengers can be seen holding up ceiling panels with their hands at an altitude of nearly 30,000 feet. The video was shared on TikTok by Lucas Michael Payne and has received over 195,000 views.
Lucas Michael Payne wrote alongside the video, “My friend was on this Delta flight when the ceiling fell down. Flight attendants eventually fixed it with duct tape, but for quite a while, passengers had to hold it up themselves.”
A Delta Airlines spokesperson told the New York Post, “We appreciate our customers’ patience and cooperation. We apologize for the delay.”
The spokesperson added that the interior panel of the Boeing 717 aircraft was secured back in place so passengers no longer had to support it. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
The affected passengers were flown to Chicago on a replacement aircraft after a delay of nearly two hours.
However, social media users and passengers on board strongly criticized Delta Airlines.
