Locals believe that wild animals like cheetahs, lions, and bears are moving from the forest to nearby villages due to a food shortage

(Web Desk): A wild cheetah entered a residential area and killed several goats, triggering fear and panic among locals in Haripur.
The incident took place in the upper village of Chaskalan, located in the Khanpur area of Haripur, where the cheetah attacked two homes. It killed goats owned by a poor farmer before attempting to attack a local person. However, the cheetah fled into the jungle after villagers raised alarms.
This is not the first such incident. Previously, a lion attacked a father and son, leaving them injured, and killed dozens of livestock.
Despite the increasing frequency of these attacks, the Wildlife Department has yet to take effective action, leaving villagers in constant fear.
Locals believe that wild animals like cheetahs, lions, and bears are moving from the forest to nearby villages due to a food shortage, preying on livestock such as goats, cows, and chickens.
