(Web Desk): In the 12th match of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Multan Sultans registered their first win by defeating Lahore Qalandars by 33 runs in a high-scoring encounter held in Multan.
Multan Sultans' captain Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and opted to bat first. His team posted a massive total of 228 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Yasir Khan was the star of the innings, smashing 87 runs off just 44 balls, including six sixes and six fours. Iftikhar Ahmed provided the finishing touch with an unbeaten 40 off 18 balls, while Usman Khan and Rizwan contributed 39 and 32 runs respectively.
From Lahore’s bowling lineup, Rashid Hussain claimed 2 wickets, while Shaheen Afridi, Asif Afridi, and Sikandar Raza took one wicket each.
Chasing a target of 229, Lahore Qalandars fell short, scoring 195 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Sikandar Raza scored 50, Sam Billings added 43, and Fakhar Zaman chipped in with 32 runs.
Multan’s bowlers performed effectively, with Ubaid Shah taking 3 wickets, and Bracewell and Usama Mir picking up 2 wickets apiece.
This victory marks Multan Sultans’ first in four games, while Lahore Qalandars have 4 points from as many matches.
