UN stated that every issue between Pakistan and India can and should be resolved peacefully

The United Nations has expressed concern over the rising tensions between Pakistan and India.
UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric appealed to Pakistan and India to exercise maximum restraint, and both countries ensure that the situation does not deteriorate further.
The UN spokesman said that every issue between Pakistan and India can and should be resolved peacefully through meaningful mutual consultation.
Pahalgam incident and Pak-India tension
26 tourists were killed in an attack in the Pahalgam area of occupied Kashmir a few days ago, which India blamed on Pakistan, suspended the Indus Waters Treaty, and also took steps at the diplomatic level.
In response to Indian actions, Pakistan also responded strongly, rejecting the announcement of the Indus Waters Treaty and saying that if the flow of Pakistani-owned water is stopped, it will be considered an act of war.
Pakistan has taken other measures, including the closure of the Wagah border, airspace, and bilateral trade.
