Karachi-Peshawar shutter-down strike in solidarity with Gaza

Karachi: Business centers in most cities of the country are closed at the call of the Jamaat-e-Islami and traders' organizations to express solidarity with Palestine, especially the people of Gaza.

Shops in Rawalpindi's Raja Bazaar, Murree Road, Saddar, and Commercial Market are closed, while traffic on the roads is almost non-existent.

The Druggist and Chemist Association is also going on a strike, due to which medical stores are closed in most markets.

All small and large business centers are closed in Pakpattan and its surroundings.

There is a complete shutdown strike in Murree in solidarity with the people of Gaza. All business centers are closed at the call of the Jamaat-e-Islami. Transport is also low on all markets and roads, including Mall Road, Cantt Market, Bhurban Market, Aliut, and Phagwari.

In Peshawar, shops are closed in Qissa Khawani Bazaar, Chowk Yadgar, Ashraf Road, Chowk Nasir Khan, and Khyber Bazaar due to a shutdown strike to express solidarity with the Palestinians. Small and large markets and shopping malls on major highways are also closed.

A strike is also being held in Quetta to express solidarity with the Palestinians; all major markets and business centers in the city are closed.

A shutdown strike is being held in various areas of Balochistan, including Mastung, Kalat, Khuzdar, and Pishin.

Like other cities in the country, a shutdown strike is being held in Karachi to express solidarity with the Palestinians; all small and large business centers and shops are closed, while traffic on the roads is also less than usual.

A political party is staging a sit-in in favor of Palestine on Korangi Crossing Road, due to which the road is closed to traffic. The protesters have burned tires and closed the roads to traffic.

Traffic police say that due to the road closure, traffic is being diverted from Godam Chowrangi and Nasir Jump to Chamra Chowrangi.

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman says that the Pakistani nation cannot tolerate the genocide of Palestinians; the nation should express love for the Palestinians and condemn Israel and America.
