Losses of distribution companies have increased by Rs41 billion


Islamabad: In the first nine months of the current fiscal year, electricity distribution companies incurred a loss of Rs143 billion.
The Power Division report has stated that the losses of electricity distribution companies have increased by Rs41 billion in the 9 months of the current fiscal year.
The report has stated that the losses of electricity distribution companies during the nine months of last year were Rs102 billion. Pakistan’s circular debt increased by Rs2 billion in the nine months from July to March, and by March 2025, the circular debt was Rs2,396 billion.
According to the report, the circular debt increased by Rs484 billion in the nine months of last year, which was Rs2,794 billion in March 2024.
