Anti-Pakistan propaganda film 'Ground Zero’ fails to spark at box office
The film’s failure shows that times have changed and false narratives no longer fool audiences, even in Bollywood

(Web Desk): Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi’s film “Ground Zero” has continued to face rejection from audiences even on its third day after release.
The film, which reportedly promotes anti-Pakistan propaganda, failed at the box office over the weekend despite receiving favorable reviews from some critics. Even the recent Pahalgam incident — in which Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi blamed Pakistan — did not help the film gain traction.
Despite the buzz, “Ground Zero” struggled to draw moviegoers to cinemas and managed to earn only 5.20 crore in its first three days.
In contrast, Akshay Kumar’s film “Kesari 2” dominated the weekend with impressive earnings of 65.45 crore.
“Ground Zero” tells the story of Border Security Force officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, who is credited with capturing a key suspect involved in the 2001 Indian Parliament attack and the 2002 Akshardham Temple attack — both of which were controversially blamed on Pakistan.
The film’s failure suggests that times have changed, and false narratives can no longer fool audiences, even within Bollywood. Relying on such stories is no longer enough to guarantee success, especially with increasingly discerning viewers.
