20 Air India planes were refueled in Vienna in 24 hours

New Delhi: After the closure of Pakistani airspace, Indian airlines made Vienna a transit station, reportedly.
According to media reports, 20 Air India planes were refueled in Vienna in 24 hours, and the crew was also changed.
It is also reported that flights from Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore to the US and Canada stopped at Vienna airport.
The reports also suggest that flights from San Francisco, Toronto, Chicago, Washington, and New York are also included in the Vienna stopover.
The closure of Pakistani airspace has increased difficulties for long-haul Indian flights, added the report.
According to the reports, Air India is facing additional expenses of millions of rupees per day in the Vienna stopover.
The reports stated that flights to Europe and the US are taking four extra hours due to a fuel shortage.
Private airline IndiGo's flights from Delhi to Tashkent and Almaty are being continuously canceled, reportedly.
