United States is in contact with govts of both countries at various levels


Washington: The United States has called on Pakistan and India to find a responsible solution to the escalating tensions after the Pahalgam attack.
US State Department spokesperson Timmy Bruce said in a press briefing that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke to his Indian counterpart, Jai Shankar, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday, in which Secretary Rubio asked both countries to find a responsible solution that would maintain long-term peace and regional stability in South Asia.
She stated that the United States is in contact with the governments of both countries at various levels.
After the US Secretary of State spoke to the leaders of both countries over the phone, the clouds of war began to clear, but provocations by some Indian leaders still persist.
To a question, the State Department spokesperson said that the US is in constant contact. The Trump administration maintains constant contact and asks both sides to find a responsible solution.
The State Department spokesperson also made it clear that the US government stands with India against terrorism.
Timmy Bruce added that, as President Donald Trump had told Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week, the US stands with India against terrorism, and Indian Prime Minister Modi has the full support of the US.
