Contaminated meal was served to around 500 students, out of which more than 100 fell sick

(Web Desk): More than 100 children became ill after eating a school meal in India, according to international media reports.
The incident took place in Mokama, a city in the Indian state of Bihar, where students were served lunch at school. Soon after eating the meal, many of the children started feeling unwell.
The National Human Rights Commission reported that a dead snake was found in the school meal. The cook removed the snake and still served the food to the children.
According to reports, the contaminated meal was served to around 500 students, out of which more than 100 fell sick. Following the incident, local residents staged a protest by blocking the road.
The Commission has also demanded that state officials submit a detailed report on the children’s health within two weeks.
