Islamabad: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has arrived in Pakistan on an official visit.
Iran has escalated its efforts to reduce the rising tension between Pakistan and India after the Pahalgam attack.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has arrived in Pakistan on an official visit.
The spokesperson said that senior officials of the Foreign Ministry and the Iranian ambassador welcomed Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi at the Islamabad airport.
According to the spokesperson, the Iranian Foreign Minister will meet the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister and discuss bilateral relations, regional, and global issues.
After the visit to Pakistan, the Iranian Foreign Minister will also visit India this week.
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, the purpose of the visit to the two countries is to reduce the tension after the Pahalgam incident.
The Iranian Foreign Minister had offered to mediate to reduce tensions between Pakistan and India.
