DG ISPR stated that Pakistan is peaceful country and wants peace in region

Islamabad: Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry have briefed political leaders on the situation between Pakistan and India and reiterated their resolve to give a befitting reply to any aggression by the enemy.
Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and DG ISPR briefed political leaders on Sunday on the situation between Pakistan and India.
The meeting was attended by leaders from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Mutahidda Qoumi Movement (MQM), Jamat-e-Ulema Islami-Fazl (JUI-F), former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), and others.
However, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) decided not to attend the government briefing on the situation between Pakistan and India.
It is also reported that in the in-camera session, DG ISPR informed political leaders about the preparations of the Pakistan Army, while the Information Minister informed political leaders about the government’s diplomatic measures.
DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif said that if aggression is imposed, we are ready to give a befitting reply to the enemy.
He stated that Pakistan is a peaceful country and wants peace in the region.
In the briefing, it was decided to bring a resolution in the National Assembly against the Pahalgam incident and Indian military aggression.
The media reports stated that the unanimous resolution will be brought in the National Assembly session this evening, and members will also express their views on this most important issue in the session.
Indian aggression and state-sponsored cross-border terrorism will be discussed openly. A national narrative and policy will also be formulated by the government. While the government will also inform about its strategy on the violation of the Indus Water Treaty, the report added.
After attending the briefing of the Minister of Information and DG ISPR, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry said that the participants of the meeting were informed about India's planning of the Pahalgam false flag operation.
Talal Chaudhry stated that in the briefing, all political parties were informed about how this incident was planned and carried out. Modi wants to gain political benefits through hostility towards Pakistan and Muslims.
Minister of State for Interior added that India aimed to target the Indus Water Treaty as well, but this time the world did not blindly believe Modi's narrative; Pakistan's stance has won.
He further said that Pakistan's social media and media defeated the Indian narrative in the best way. Pakistan has given a clear message that we are ready.
Minister of State for Interior, Talal Chaudhry, also stated that wherever India does something, it will be given a double response; the world may have to pay the price for this action of India.
It is pertinent to note that tensions between Pakistan and India have increased after the killing of 26 Indian tourists in the Pahalgam area of occupied Kashmir on April 22.
