Any attack on national sovereignty will be met with a strong response: Army Chief
Army Chief says foreign-sponsored terrorism poses a serious threat to Balochistan’s security

Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has stated that any attack on Pakistan’s national sovereignty will be met with a strong and decisive response.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief addressed participants of the National Workshop Balochistan during their visit to the General Headquarters (GHQ).
Since 2016, the objective of the National Workshop Balochistan has been to inform national and provincial leadership on key issues.
During his address, the Army Chief highlighted that ongoing development projects in Balochistan play a vital role in public welfare. He said that hostile elements aim to spread fear and chaos in the province, but their attempts will not succeed.
He added that foreign-sponsored terrorism poses a serious threat to Balochistan’s security and emphasized that terrorism has no religion, sect, or ethnicity. The nation will counter it with unity.
General Munir further stated that those committing acts of terrorism under the guise of Baloch identity are a disgrace to Baloch honor.
He reiterated that Pakistan desires peace in the region but will not compromise on its sovereignty. “Any attack on national sovereignty will be responded to forcefully,” he said.
ISPR also mentioned that the workshop concluded with a detailed question-and-answer session.
