Search for the missing individuals is ongoing


(Web Desk): A boat carrying migrants sank off the coast of San Diego in the US state of California, resulting in the deaths of three people and leaving several others missing.
The incident involved a small boat with 16 people on board, including two children.
The US Coast Guard reported that a search and rescue operation was launched immediately after receiving information about the sinking. Helicopters were also used in the rescue efforts.
During the operation, four people were rescued and taken to the hospital for medical treatment. However, three people lost their lives, and seven are still missing. The search for the missing individuals is ongoing.
Authorities further stated that the incident appears to be an attempted migrant smuggling operation.
