Remaining matches of IPL will be played from May 17 to June 3


New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the Indian Premier League (IPL) will resume after the ceasefire between Pakistan and India.
The IPL was suspended last week due to tensions between Pakistan and India.
On May 9, India cancelled the IPL indefinitely due to the retaliatory actions of the Pakistan Army after the attacks on Pakistan.
A day earlier, the IPL match played in Dharamsala was also stopped, and the lights of the stadium were turned off, while foreign players started checking the availability of flights to leave the IPL and return to their homeland.
However, on Saturday, after Pakistan gave a befitting reply to the Indian aggression and the ceasefire between the two countries, it has now been announced to resume the IPL.
According to the Indian Cricket Board, the remaining matches of the IPL will be played in 6 cities from May 17 to June 3.
The BCCI says that a match will be played on May 17 between Royal Challengers Bangalore and defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders.
