University also announces new dates for BBA (Hons) written exams

Lahore: Punjab University has issued a revised schedule for exams that were postponed earlier due to rising tensions between Pakistan and India.
According to an official notification released on Monday, Associate Degree exams in Arts, Science, and Commerce—originally planned for May 9 and 10—will now be held on May 14 (Wednesday) and May 15 (Thursday). Special Category exams set for those dates have also been rescheduled accordingly.
The university has also announced new dates for the BBA (Hons) written exams, which will now take place on May 15 (Thursday) and May 16 (Friday).
In addition, practical exams for the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) programs in Graphic Design and Textile Design will be held on May 19 (Monday) and May 20 (Tuesday).
The university confirmed that all exam venues and timings will remain unchanged.
Meanwhile, all public and private schools and colleges across Punjab reopened on Monday, May 12, after a temporary closure due to security concerns. The shutdown was ordered on May 7 following missile and drone attacks from India on areas in Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat confirmed the reopening, stating, “The safety of students and staff is our top priority. With the security situation improving, educational activities will resume as planned.”
The conflict had also disrupted Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) exams across Lahore, Multan, and other cities, with several papers including Quran translation, ethics, mathematics, biology, and practicals postponed.
