PML-N decides against engaging with key non-governmental figures through backdoor channels
Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided not to engage with key non-governmental personalities through backdoor channels, soruces said.
According to sources, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has thrown the ball in party supremo Nawaz Sharif's and has assured the party leadership that former premier’s narrative and policy will be implemented.
Sources revealed that opposition leader in national assembly had been trying for a reconciliation policy for the past few months, while Nawaz Sharif was staying silent by giving free hand to his brother.
Following the failure of achieving any breakthrough in dialogues and negotiations, Shahbaz Sharif is forced follow Nawaz Sharif's narrative.
Sources further said that PML-N will not enter into any compromise with government or non-government figures and PML-N President has taken this decision after consulting with key party leaders. Shahbaz Sharif also took the party leaders into confidence in the light of recent messages from the government and important personalities
The sources have added that PML-N will participate in the next elections on Nawaz Sharif's narrative of ‘give respect to vote’.
PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif also briefed like-minded leaders on the new policy and it has been decided to work out a strategy with all political parties to stop rigging in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections.
