Havaldar Muhammad Naveed and PAF Senior Technician Muhammad Ayaz were hospitalised after sustaining severe injuries while defending the nation

Rawalpindi: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday that two more Pakistani soldiers, who were critically injured in blatant and cowardly Indian strikes on the night of May 6 and 7, have embraced martyrdom.
According to the ISPR, the martyred soldiers—Havaldar Muhammad Naveed of the Pakistan Army and Senior Technician Muhammad Ayaz of the Pakistan Air Force—were hospitalised after sustaining severe injuries while defending the nation. Their martyrdom bring the total number of Pakistan Armed Forces personnel martyred in recent hostilities to 13, with 78 others injured.
“These valiant sons of the soil displayed exemplary courage and unwavering resolve while defending the motherland,” read the official statement. The ISPR added that their sacrifice would forever be remembered as a symbol of devotion to duty and unshakable patriotism.
The armed forces, along with the nation, have paid rich tribute to the martyrs and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Prayers were also offered for the swift recovery of all those injured during the conflict.
In response to continued Indian aggression across the Line of Control (LoC) and within Pakistan’s territory, the Pakistani military launched a large-scale retaliatory operation, named Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos. The precise and proportionate strikes targeted multiple Indian military sites.
The hostilities between the two nuclear-armed countries lasted for approximately 87 hours before a ceasefire agreement was brokered by the United States on May 10, bringing a halt to escalating tensions in the region.
