Russia-Ukraine hold first direct talks since 2022 in Turkey

(Web Desk): After a long period of war, direct talks between Russia and Ukraine are set to take place today in Turkey.

According to sources, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will not participate in the negotiations.

Sources said that the Ukrainian delegation is currently in Istanbul, where it will meet with a high-level Russian delegation.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Zelensky met with Turkish President Erdogan in Ankara, where they discussed the Russia-Ukraine war along with other issues.

Former US President Donald Trump remarked, “Nothing will happen until I and President Putin are together.”

It is worth noting that these will be the first direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine since 2022.
