Funds have been divided into 3 categories: martyrs, seriously injured, and slightly injured


Lahore: The Prime Minister approved a relief package for the martyred and injured civilians in the Indian attack.
In this regard, the Punjab government has also issued a letter to the Deputy Commissioners of 14 districts, releasing relief funds.
According to a letter issued by the Punjab Home Department, the Prime Minister approved the relief package for the martyred and injured civilians, after which Rs343 million has been transferred to the Deputy Commissioners’ Asan Assignment Accounts.
The letter stated that the funds have been divided into 3 categories: martyrs, seriously injured, and slightly injured. The heirs of the martyred civilians will be given Rs10 million in assistance, while seriously injured civilians will get Rs2 million and slightly injured civilians will get Rs1 million in assistance.
The letter directed that the relief money be delivered to the rightful beneficiaries in a transparent manner. The eligibility of each recipient should be verified before the funds are distributed and no payment should be made to any third party other than the legal heirs of the martyrs.
It has been added in the letter that all personal information of the victims and bereaved families should be kept in complete confidentiality. The Deputy Commissioners should send a detailed report of the distribution of relief funds to the Home Department.
The Deputy Commissioners of the 14 districts of Punjab to whom the letter was sent include Kasur, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Attock, Murree, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Faisalabad, and Toba Tek Singh.
In addition, the letter has also been sent to the DCs of Gujrat, Sialkot, Khanewal, Okara, and Rawalpindi.
