Accident severely affected traffic flow on Canal Road


Lahore: A car fell into a canal near Johar Town area on Canal Road in the provincial capital Lahore, killing three people in the car.
Rescue officials reached the spot and pulled people out of the car, but they could not survive. Rescuers shifted the bodies to the hospital. The accident occurred due to high speed. After efforts, the rescue officials pulled the car out of the canal.
The accident severely affected the traffic flow on Canal Road, causing difficulties for people.
In addition, a passenger bus collided with a truck on Motorway M-5 in Rahim Yar Khan. As a result of the accident, five passengers died while 26 were injured. The bodies and the injured were shifted to the hospital.
Police and motorway authorities arrived at the scene of the accident, collected evidence, and diverted traffic to alternative routes. According to initial investigations, the main cause of the accident is said to be the driver's negligence and drowsy driving.
