If India discontinues Water Treaty, all 6 rivers will belong to Pakistan upon Kashmir independece, DG ISPR

Rawalpindi: Director General (DG) of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has said that the Pakistani armed forces have taught the Indian army a lesson that they will never forget. The military plans adopted to counter the Indian attack will remain under study for decades. If India does not continue the Indus Water Treaty, then all six rivers will belong to Pakistan upon the independence of Kashmir.

In an interview with the Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera, DG ISPR Ahmed Sharif stated that the Pakistani army has gained superiority over India and has prevented India from achieving its objectives in the recent attack.

Ahmed Sharif added that the courage of the Pakistani army and the superiority achieved over India have increased the importance of the army in the hearts of the people, and now the army has become a symbol of honor and pride.

Responding to the question that who was the winner between Pakistan and India in the recent clashes? The Pakistan Army spokesperson said that we always say that the war is ours and victory is only for Allah, so I think the answer to this question lies with the international community, the whole world, and impartial observers, because they can give the correct answer to it.

He further said that this question becomes clear when you visit the streets and cities of Pakistan, where you can see the answer on the faces of the Pakistani people. Their happiness and celebrations that they are celebrating right now, so the answer to this question is very clear.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry also stated that the matter is not limited to the military field alone, nor is it limited to air and ground battles alone. In this conflict, Pakistan has exposed lies, deception, pressure, aggression, and many other aspects of India.

He said that after the Pahalgam incident, India fabricated a fake story, and Pakistan's demand was very simple, if you have any evidence of the involvement of any Pakistani citizen, please present that evidence, hand it over to the international community, a third party or a credible institution so that a transparent investigation can be conducted, India had no answer, and till date it has not been able to answer it.

DG ISPR said that India came at the time and place of their choice with the full strength of their air force and available defense systems, we shot down 6 of their aircraft, so we had the upper hand there and we punished them the most severe way, the world saw that Indian forces hoisted white flags at many places on the Line of Control and other borders.

He said that we did not attack India, our response was not in the dark of night like cowards do, we announced that we would respond, so be ready, we selected 26 targets, and Alhamdulillah, we hit 26.

Pakistan Army spokesperson also stated that even in the field of information, we were transparent. We spoke the truth, did not lie, nor distorted the facts. The world saw that their media and government kept lying and are presenting different baseless stories to date.

‘So, my short answer is to look at the faces of the people of Pakistan, and the long answer is to examine the matter in any way you want. Alhamdulillah, Pakistan has achieved the victory that we are celebrating for peace’.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif further said that the Indians say that they attacked the port of Karachi, shot down several aircraft and say that our Prime Minister has been shifted to a safe place, even their High Commissioner showed pictures of fake people and said that they were terrorists, including a prayer person who was a civilian.

He further said that ‘Indians said that there was nuclear radiation, something happened, and global technology experts should intervene immediately, but all this was a lie. No credible and serious institution takes Indian claims seriously’.

The Pakistan Army spokesperson also added that one of India’s major problems is that they are overconfident in themselves, and we do not know where this confidence came from. They had wrong estimates and assumptions that they would attack civilian places, mosques, and that nothing would happen. Pakistan would not respond, so now they are making fake stories, and they are experts in this.

He said that India has a very powerful media, while in theatre and films, they are far ahead of Pakistan, yet, they keep presenting different stories, for example, yesterday they said that Pakistan attacked the holy Golden Temple of the Sikhs in Amritsar, which is very ridiculous.

The Pakistan Army spokesperson said: ‘We are protecting ourselves, protecting Punjab, and we have great respect for all the holy places and all religious sects of this region, we and the Sikhs have a common culture, love, and a Punjabi language, it is not our way to attack any civilian or religious place, it is against our principles and religion’.

Lieutenant General Ahmed added: “I think Indians will have to build their reputation first, and reputation is not built by blocking thousands of websites, imposing restrictions on the media, or imprisoning those who criticize the government, but by speaking the truth. On the contrary, did you see during the recent conflict that Pakistan arrested any journalist? No, you will not find that, we did not do that, that is our message”.

He said that we are proud of our air force personnel and their performance. In this recent military clash, we have seen coordination between the ground, air, and naval forces as well as between the political leadership and the armed forces. Pakistan has built a strong steel wall against any Indian aggression, which is very resistant to attempts at integration and domination.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif said that the people of Pakistan, our diplomats, the media, leaders of all political parties, and the Air Force, Navy, Army, and other security agencies were fighting this aggression together. of course, we are proud of our Pakistani Air Force.

He said that this is not only our pride, but the world has witnessed the air clash that took place on the night of May 6 and 7, and I am sure that this incident will be taught and discussed in air war colleges and military institutions for decades to come.

To the question of whether you expect the ceasefire between the nuclear-armed neighbors to last? The Pakistan Army spokesperson said that the ceasefire only means that both sides stop fighting against each other, but real peace will come only when the Indians are freed from the political mentality that is imposed on them, the mentality that embraces war and dominates the political elite of India. This is the war madness that dominates the Indian political scene, and under it, they consider the atrocities they are committing against Muslims and minorities as normal.

He said that there is a serious problem in India, which is not only against Muslims, but also against Christians, Sikhs, other communities, and backward classes. A lot of atrocities are happening there, so the society that is a victim shows a natural reaction against it, but the Indian government refuses to solve this problem.

The Pakistan Army spokesperson said that extremism and its networks are also part of the same reaction, which they want to ignore; this is their internal problem, but they turn it into an external problem and make false accusations against Pakistan. Until these internal problems are resolved, and the Kashmir issue is also resolved, which is an external problem and which involves Pakistan, China, and India, and which should be resolved according to the UN resolutions and the will of the people, then no real peace can be established.

On the question regarding the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that only a madman can think that he can stop the water of 240 million people; no one can do that, we have to understand the facts.

He said that the fact is that 6 rivers flow from Kashmir, which is a disputed area according to UN resolutions. After long negotiations in 1960, the World Bank mediated and got an agreement under which 3 rivers were given to Pakistan and 3 to India.

He said that if India does not want to abide by this agreement, then remember that Kashmir is a disputed territory, if tomorrow Kashmir joins Pakistan according to the will of its people, then all these 6 rivers will be Pakistan's, and India will have to bear a heavy burden, we will see how we deal with it, this is the reality.

On the question regarding the situation in Gaza, the Pakistan Army spokesperson said that what is happening in Gaza is genocide, and it is completely unacceptable; it is a black mark on the human conscience. What is happening there teaches us, as Pakistan and as military authorities, a lesson that you should have your strength, you should stand strong, and stand firm in the face of those who think they can interfere or do anything as they wish.

He said that this is why countries should protect themselves and the Ummah should increase its strength, because unfortunately there are certain political mindsets in this world that can not only think of such genocides but also put them into practice, as we are seeing in Gaza and the oppression being faced by Muslims in Kashmir and minorities in India.

He said that there is a widespread belief that your religion, or your DNA, or your genes make you inferior or superior, this is not the way humanity has learned, nor is this the way Pakistanis and Muslims see the world, their moral perspective and way of life are different, therefore, if such a moral decline occurs, then man should stand up and this is what Pakistanis try to do every day.
