Six terrorists escaped, taking advantage of darkness


Mianwali: Three terrorists were killed in an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Mianwali.
The CTD spokesperson said that there was a heavy exchange of fire between CTD and terrorists near Rehmani Khel Mor in Mianwali district of Punjab. Six terrorists escaped, taking advantage of the darkness.
The spokesperson also said that indiscriminate firing was opened on a team going to arrest the terrorists. In the retaliatory action, the terrorists escaped. Rifles, three hand grenades, bullets, and explosives were recovered.
According to officials, CTD is conducting an operation to arrest the escaped terrorists. A blockade has been set up near Rehmani Khel Mor.
The spokesperson said that the process of identifying the slain terrorists is underway. The terrorists had planned to carry out major attacks on police posts.
