If moon is sighted on May 27, Eid al-Adha will be on Friday, June 6


The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has issued instructions to citizens to sight the moon of Dhul-Hijjah.
According to a report by Khaleej Times, the Saudi Press Agency said that the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has asked citizens to sight the moon of Dhul-Hijjah on Tuesday, 29th Dhul-Qa’d, i.e., May 27.
According to the report, if the moon is sighted on May 27, then Dhul-Hijjah will begin on May 28, and Eid al-Adha will be on Friday, June 6.
However, if the moon is not sighted on Tuesday, May 27, then Dhul-Hijjah will begin on Thursday, and the first day of Eid al-Adha will be Saturday, June 7.
The Saudi Supreme Court has instructed that if anyone sees the moon directly or through a telescope, they should contact the nearest court and give their testimony, or contact the nearest center so that help can be provided to reach the court from there.

On the other hand, according to the International Astronomical Center (IAC) of the United Arab Emirates, the Dhul-Hijjah moon is likely to be sighted this week.
According to the IAC of the UAE, the moon of Dhul-Hijjah is likely to be sighted on Tuesday, May 27, and Wednesday, May 28 will be the first day of the new Hijri month, and Eid al-Adha will be on Friday, June 6.
According to these predictions, the Day of Arafat will then be on Thursday, June 5.
