Lahore: Pakistani singer and actor Ali Zafar has written a heartbreaking poem for 17-year-old TikToker Sana Yousuf, who was murdered in Islamabad.
A tragic incident took place in Islamabad recently when 17-year-old TikToker Sana Yousuf was murdered in her house.
According to the police, the accused, Umar Hayat, wanted to befriend TikToker Sana, and when she refused, he killed her.
Later, the police arrested the accused within 24 hours and recovered the murder weapon and Sana’s mobile phone from him.
This heartbreaking incident has drawn strong reactions from across the country.
Recently, famous singer Ali Zafar shared an emotional poem on the tragedy on Instagram.
The singer wrote in the caption of his Instagram post that Sana Yousuf’s tragedy is a burden that cannot be shaken, but this grief is not new; the names keep changing from Qandeel to Noor, the wound remains the same.
According to Ali Zafar, the responsibility is on us, O men, until we change what we have been taught so far and raise our sons with feeling, compassion, and respect, we will continue to lose the daughters of this land.
He further wrote that he could not bear this pain in silence, so he wrote down his feelings, which he shared today. This is not just poetry but a prayer for change.
