How many Pakistanis left country for overseas employment in ongoing fiscal year?
Up to 404,345 individuals from Punjab left for abroad


(Web Desk): The Economic Survey 2024-25 report reveals that hundreds of thousands Pakistanis have gone abroad for employment during the current fiscal year.
According to the report, the highest number of overseas workers came from Punjab, with 404,345 individuals leaving the province in search of work abroad over the past year.
From Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), 187,000 people went overseas for employment, while 60,424 individuals from Sindh also migrated for work.
Similarly, 29,937 people from the tribal areas, and 29,591 from Azad Kashmir, sought employment overseas. In the federal capital, 8,621 workers went abroad during the same period.
From Balochistan, the number of workers who left for jobs abroad stood at 5,668, while 1,692 people from the northern areas also migrated for employment.
