Total cost of Dubai's Blue Line mega project will be 56 billion dirhams


Dubai: The foundation stone of the world's highest metro station has been laid in the state of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Dubai authorities say that this station will be 74 meters above the ground and its construction will be completed in 2029.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, laid the foundation stone of this high metro station. This metro station will be part of the third track of the Dubai Metro, the Blue Line, which will be launched on September 9, 2029, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Dubai Metro.

The track of the Blue Line will be 131 kilometers long and will connect 9 important areas of Dubai. According to officials, the Blue Line will have 14 stations, of which 5 will be underground.
The main interchange stations of Dubai's Blue Line will be Jeddah, Rashidiya, and International City, while it will connect the areas of Dubai, Mirdif, Warragul, International City, Silicon Oasis, International Academic City, Festival City, Dubai Creek Harbour, and Ras Al Khor Industrial Area.

A 1.3-kilometer-long bridge (track) of the Blue Line will also be built to cross Dubai Creek, which will be the first metro track to be built over Dubai Creek.
The total cost of Dubai's Blue Line mega project will be 56 billion dirhams, or more than 4.3 trillion rupees.
Dubai Metro is already providing convenience to millions of passengers through the Red and Green Lines, while authorities have vowed that the Blue Line stations will be more modern.
