Police arrested absconding accused couple during raid


Rahim Yar Khan: A 13-year-old domestic worker died due to alleged violence in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, an area of Rahim Yar Khan.
According to DPO Irfan Sammo, the 13-year-old domestic worker, Samiya, was a resident of the suburban area of Kotla Pathan. She had been working as a maid at the home of a man named Shahram in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area for the past three years.
Irfan Sammo said that the girl died due to the violence of the husband and wife. After the death, the girl’s mother was informed about Samiya’s sudden death at home, and her body was wrapped in a shroud and handed over to her mother in the darkness of the night. When they reached home, her mother saw scars of violence on her body.
According to the DPO, the girl's mother informed the police, upon which the police took timely action and arrested the absconding accused couple during a raid.
The DPO further said that the girl's body has been handed over to the heirs after the postmortem. Initial medical examination found the worst scars of torture on the girl's body from head to toe.
