Shopkeepers have increased prices of solar panels

Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) spokesperson Shazia Marri reacted to the budget 2025-26 and rejected the 18 percent tax on solar panels.
Shazia Marri termed the increase in salaries and pensions as insufficient in the current inflation.
She said that a joke was made by allocating only Rs15 billion for the Rs400 billion Hyderabad-Karachi Motorway project.
On the other hand, after the proposal of an 18 percent tax on solar panels in the federal budget, shopkeepers have increased the prices of solar panels.
In Faisalabad, buyers are being charged an additional Rs3-6 per watt, on which citizens have appealed to the government to take notice.
