No new taxes will be imposed in Punjab budget


Lahore/Peshawar: Like the federation, there is a possibility of a 10 percent increase in salaries and 7 percent in pensions for government employees in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to media reports, a 10 percent increase in salaries and an additional Rs110 billion for education are likely in the next Punjab budget, while the provincial budget will be presented on June 16.
According to reports, no new taxes will be imposed in the Punjab budget. Rs90 billion will be allocated for health, and additional funds have also been proposed to be provided to farmers for wheat, rice seeds, and fertilizers.
Meanwhile, the KP budget is likely to be Rs2,070 billion, with Rs1,352 billion for current expenses, Rs680 billion for salaries, and Rs 200 billion for pensions.
It is also reported that the KP government is expected to receive Rs1,148 billion in NFC.
