Karachi: Sea breezes have resumed in the city, while light to moderate rain is likely today, as it was yesterday.

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain with thunder is likely in Karachi today as well. Yesterday, light rain, drizzle, and showers occurred in different areas of the city under pre-monsoon.

The weather in the city is likely to be hot and humid, and partly cloudy during the next 24 hours. With the restoration of sea breezes, the wind speed is expected to be 10 to 20 kilometers per hour. The humidity in the air is likely to be 50 to 80 percent, and due to this, the temperature is felt 6 to 9 degrees Celsius higher.

The maximum temperature in Karachi today is likely to be 37 to 39 degrees Celsius, while the recorded temperature is 30 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 37 degrees Celsius yesterday.

It is pertinent to note that the monsoon system entered Karachi yesterday, after which the weather became pleasant with light and heavy rain in various areas. The monsoon system entered various areas, including Surjani Town, Kathor, Super Highway, and Baldia Town, due to which clouds started covering the city from the evening itself. A series of cold winds also started, after which there was thunder and lightning.
