Trump hails Field Marshal Munir’s influence, role in Pakistan-India ceasefire
An unusual meeting between Field Marshal Asim Munir and President Trump causes unease in India

(Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has stated that Pakistan’s Army Chief is an influential figure in the country and played a crucial role in achieving the ceasefire on Pakistan’s behalf.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said, “We stopped the war between Pakistan and India.” He went on to praise Pakistan, saying, “Pakistanis are very good people. Pakistan is a nuclear country, and I like Pakistan.”
This unusual meeting between Field Marshal Munir and President Trump has caused unease in India.
Meanwhile, Indian media reported that Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a 35-minute phone conversation with President Trump. According to Misri, Modi made it clear that India does not and will not accept third-party mediation in its dispute with Pakistan. Modi also told Trump that “Operation Sandur” is still ongoing and ruled out the possibility of any negotiations.
