Rescue 1122 teams launch search operation to recover bodies


(Web Desk): Three members of a family drowned and lost their lives in Mianwali, while a father and son also drowned while trying to save a young girl who had fallen into a canal.
According to rescue officials, three members of the same family drowned in the Chashma-Jhelum Link Canal near the Harnoli area of Kundian. The incident occurred when an 11-year-old girl named Shireen accidentally fell into the canal while collecting firewood.
Police reported that upon seeing the girl drowning, her father, Munawar Qureshi, and 13-year-old brother, Anees, immediately jumped into the canal to save her. Unfortunately, all three were swept away by the strong current and drowned.
Rescue 1122 teams arrived at the scene after receiving the report and have launched a search operation to recover the bodies.
