Woman's entire liver was destroyed by cancer


Islamabad: Pakistan's first successful liver transplant was for colon cancer that spread to the liver.
The first successful liver transplant for colon cancer was performed at Shifa International Islamabad.
A woman from Karachi was diagnosed with cancer in the last part of the colon, which later spread to the liver, after which the liver affected by colon cancer was transplanted.
For the first time in Pakistan, a cancer patient's entire liver was removed, and her husband's liver was transplanted during the treatment.
The doctor says that the Karachi woman's entire liver was destroyed by cancer, and the husband donated the left part of the liver to save his wife's life.
According to reports, the woman is now completely free from cancer and is leading a normal life.
