Gilgit: The Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) government on Tuesday announced a new set of restrictions, in an attempt to contain a further spread of already mounting coronavirus cases during Eid al-Fitr holiday.

As per an official notification, the government has banned opening of all restaurants, public gatherings and visit to public parks during Eid-ul-Azha holidays in the wake of COVID-19.
Following the notification, there will be ban on indoor and outdoor dining, public gathering, and functions as well.
On the other hand, In Punjab, the Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab Inam Ghani has cancelled holidays of all field formations on the occasion of Eidul Azha.
According to details, the decision has been taken to provide all possible security to citizens and cattle markets.
The IG Punjab said that most citizens return to their native towns on Eid, thus, it is the responsibility of police to provide security to their houses and belongings in the main cities.
A notification has also been issued in this regard; however, those on medical and travel leave will be exempted.
