This technology will enable the police to detect and neutralize terrorist-operated drones from miles away

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have acquired a modern anti-drone system to counter the growing aerial threats posed by terrorism.
According to official sources, this technology will enable the police to detect and neutralize terrorist-operated drones from miles away.
Sources further stated that the system will be used not only to protect key government buildings, VIPs, and major events, but also as part of security arrangements during Muharram processions.
It was revealed that in the past, terrorists had used drones for attacks in North Waziristan and other southern districts. Additionally, during periods of heightened Indo-Pak tensions, India had also used drone technology for attacks on Pakistan.
Inspector General (IG) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed, confirmed that the police force is being equipped with advanced weapons and gear, and efforts are underway to acquire more modern technology.
The IG stated that, in light of the evolving nature of terrorism, every effort is being made to make the police as modern and effective as possible, to ensure the protection of public lives and property under all circumstances.
