Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude for key role of US in Pakistan-India ceasefire


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a telephone conversation. The Prime Minister appreciated President Trump’s role in the Iran-Israel ceasefire. The two leaders also discussed the situation in the Middle East.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude to Marco Rubio for the key role of the United States in the Pakistan-India ceasefire.
According to the statement, the Prime Minister and the US Secretary of State reiterated their commitment to further strengthen Pak-US relations and agreed to continue close cooperation in the field of trade.
The situation in the Middle East was also discussed between the two leaders.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan will continue to play a constructive role for peace in the Middle East.
