He was not interested in Test captaincy after being removed from ODI captaincy

Dhaka: Bangladesh Test team captain Najam-ul-Hasan Shinto has stepped down from the captaincy.
According to the cricket website, Najam stepped down from the captaincy after the defeat in the second Test against Sri Lanka, in which Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh by an innings and 78 runs in the second Test.
It is also reported that Najam-ul-Hasan was not interested in the Test captaincy after being removed from the ODI captaincy.
After stepping down from the captaincy, Najam said that he did not want to continue as captain in the Test format. He took the decision for the betterment of the team.
He added that in his opinion, the decision of having separate captains in all three formats is not wise. It will be difficult for the team to work with 3 different captains.
