56 houses were damaged in the affected areas


Peshawar: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released a preliminary report on the loss of life and property due to monsoon rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the report, 11 people died and 6 were injured due to floods, including four men, three women, and four children, while the maximum loss was caused by rains and flash floods in Swat.
According to the PDMA, a total of 56 houses were damaged in the affected areas of the province, of which 50 houses were partially damaged and six were completely destroyed.
The PDMA said that during the last 24 hours, a flood situation was faced at Khwaza Khela in the Swat River.
In view of the flood risks, the PDMA has also issued an alert to the district administrations of Nowshera and Charsadda and has directed that the district administrations ensure preventive measures in advance of possible emergencies or floods.
