Six suffer burns after power transformer explodes in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: At least six people suffered burns after a power transformer exploded after having sparks and oil scattered in Latifabad No 8 on Thursday, GNN reported.
Rescuers and police rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to a hospital where two victims are stated to be in a critical condition.
Following the incident, Hayderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) Chief Executive Officer Rehan Hameed suspended the SDO, line superintendent and two linemen of the sub-division concerned from service and sought report of the blast in 24 hours.
Some injured vicitms were shifted to the burn ward of the Civil Hospital Karachi.
