Pagers be used instead of mobiles in government hospitals

Lahore: All staff members below the grade 18 level in government hospitals in Punjab have been banned from using mobile phones.
A letter issued by the Punjab Health Department states that all staff below grade 18 in emergency, Intensive Care Units (ICUs), and operating theatres will be prohibited from using mobile phones.
A letter from the Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education has directed that pagers be used instead of mobile phones in government hospitals.
The letter also directed that a comprehensive and effective emergency care system be ensured and that nursing students should ensure implementation of the SOPs for IV injections.
The letter further said that hospital staff should be made subject to blue and red codes.
