Humaira Asghar's family receives body after legal proceedings
Family says that Humaira will be buried in Lahore

Karachi: The body of actress and model Humaira Asghar, who was found dead in an apartment in Defense Phase VI, was handed over to her heirs, after which they left for Lahore with the deceased.
The actress’s brother told the media that he had been in contact with Humaira about 10 months ago. He said that he could not reach Karachi immediately due to the death of a close relative, which delayed the recovery of the body.
He stated that they were in constant contact with the police and all the legal procedures had been completed.
The family says that Humaira will be buried in Lahore.
On the other hand, police officials say that the investigation into the incident is ongoing, and various aspects are being considered to find out the cause of death. The cab driver and other people who came to the CDR will also be questioned.
According to the reports, the actress’s mobile phone records have been obtained, and all the people she last contacted are being questioned.
It is pertinent to note that Humaira Asghar’s body was found on July 8 in an apartment in Ittehad Commercial when the court bailiff reached her house after the landlord went to court for non-payment of rent. When the door of the flat was broken open, the actress’s body was recovered.
In the initial post-mortem report of the body, Karachi Police Surgeon Dr Samia Syed said that the body was in the ‘very advanced stage of decomposition’, which can be seen from looking at it. It can be estimated that the actress died about a month ago.
