Humaira's brother raises suspicions about her death
The brother of actress Humaira Asghar expressed doubts regarding the circumstances of her death., criticising the media for focusing solely on his family while failing to question the landlord.
Naveed Asghar, who traveled from Lahore to Karachi to receive his sister’s body, spoke to the media and dismissed claims that the family had refused to accept the body. At the same time, he raised serious questions surrounding the nature of his sister's death.
He pointed out that residential locks could often be opened from the outside with a key, allowing anyone to enter. However, he noted, the media has not questioned this aspect at all.
Naveed suggested it is possible someone else had a key to Humaira Asghar’s apartment, entered the premises, and then locked the door from inside in a way that made it appear as though someone inside had done so.
He lamented that the media focused entirely on his family, conducting what he described as a “media trial,” while no one raised a single question about the landlord.
Naveed questioned the landlord’s prolonged absence and asked why the landlord had not attempted to contact Humaira Asghar. He emphasized that many such questions remain unanswered.
He further criticised the media for not even attempting to interview the landlord, stating that all attention remained unfairly fixed on their family.
Speaking to reporters, he also mentioned that his sister's body was found in such a condition that it could not be lifted, urging the media to end its speculative coverage.
