Eighth-grade board exams were abolished in Punjab 5 years ago


Lahore: It has been decided to restore the eighth-grade board exams in Punjab.
A meeting chaired by Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat decided to restore the eighth-grade board exams.
In the meeting, Rana Sikandar Hayat said that he is restoring the board exams for the eighth grade. The fifth, sixth, and seventh grade exams should be taken as assessment tests.
The provincial education minister directed that the procedure for the internal assessment test be formulated within a month.
In addition, the meeting also decided to make the internal examination system effective from the fifth to the seventh.
It is pertinent to note that the eighth-grade board exams were abolished in Punjab 5 years ago.
