Mohsin Naqvi receives guard of honor in Bahrain, emphasizes increasing security cooperation
Meeting discussed bilateral cooperation in counter-terrorism, anti-human trafficking, and counter-narcotics


Manama: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in the capital of Bahrain, Manama, on a one-day visit, where he met with his Bahraini counterpart. In the meeting, emphasis was placed on increasing security cooperation.
Bahraini Interior Minister General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa gave a grand welcome to Mohsin Naqvi at the Bahrain International Airport. The Interior Minister was presented with a guard of honor upon his arrival at the Bahraini Interior Ministry headquarters in Manama Fort.
In an important meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Bahraini counterpart, matters of mutual interest and security cooperation were discussed, and the need to further increase security cooperation was emphasized.
The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation in counter-terrorism, anti-human trafficking, and counter-narcotics, addressing regional and global challenges, and making the work of the Bahrain-Pakistan Joint Security Committee more effective.
The Bahraini Interior Minister appreciated the cooperation and coordination between Pakistan and Bahrain in security and other areas and said that Mohsin Naqvi’s visit is an opportunity to strengthen security ties based on the strong ties between Bahrain and Pakistan.
He also said that he values the security cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that increasing cooperation between the Bahraini Interior Ministry and the Pakistani Interior Ministry in combating narcotics and human trafficking is the need of the hour.
Mohsin Naqvi invited his Bahraini counterpart to visit Pakistan and recorded his impressions in a book kept at the Bahraini Interior Ministry.
Bahrain’s Deputy Interior Minister Major General Adel bin Khalifa bin Hamad, Chief of Public Security, senior military officers, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Bahrain Saqib Rauf, Deputy Head of Mission, and senior diplomatic officials were also present on the occasion.
